How To Create Your Own Websites

Don't hire a web master to build your business website. Do it yourself. Why? If you hire a webmaster to build a website for you, every little change will have to go through the webmaster. Everytime you want to add a link or edit your site, you will have to contact your webmaster to make the change. If your webmaster goes on holiday, gets sick or disappears, what are you going to do with your website? That happened to me. I ran a department that was responsible for our company's website. Our webmaster made a terrible mess of the website and then quit. Took us months to get everything straightened out. Today there are so many ways to build a website easily, without knowing any programing. If you can create a Hubpage, you can create a website.

You will need three things to create a website. You should be able to find one company which can offer all three:

• Domain name (website address) registration: This is usually very cheap, usually around $10 per year.  Most sites now have search functions which allow you to see if your address is available. If your prefered address is unavailable, it will usually recommend other domain names which are available. Your webhost should be able to register your domain name for you.
• Hosting plan: You can usually find a shared hosting plan for around $5- $8 per month with discounts if you pay in advance for 1, 3 or 5 years. Shared hosting means that your websites will be stored on a host together with other websites. You can also request to have an individual hosting plan which will be much more expensive.
• Website builder: Most web hosts offer free or inexpensive website builders.

Find a host which offers a website maker. Two of the webhosts I have used are:

• Bravenet
• Godaddy

There are many other webhosts out there and most will offer a site builder. I have no affiliation with the two hosts above and will write frankly what I think of them.

Both Bravenet and Godaddy are quality webhosts and both offer website builders. Bravenet's is called the website wizard and Godaddy's is called Website Tonight. Both the website wizard and website tonight use similar technology as Hubpages use to create a hub. If you can build a hub on hubpages you can use the Bravenet Website Wizard or Website Tonight to create a website. It is that simple.

Both Bravenet and Godaddy have good customer service and both will answer your issues within one day.

With Bravenet, you can host up to 10 domains under the same hosting plan.
